Superstar Rajinikanth has ruled the Tamil film industry for the better part of his five decade old career. He is still the biggest draw at the box office apart from being the highest paid in the country.
The thespian is now working on bringing his 2002 film ‘Baba’ to the current generation which will hit the screens soon in a re-edited crisp digital version.
Rajini on Sunday completed dubbing for the additonal scenes as well as ones that required him to re-dub for ‘Baba’.
Photos of the film’s crew including director Suresh Krishna with Rajini have gone viral on the internet. It is said that A.R. Rahman will also be doing some additional background work for the new version.
Baba’ written by Rajini himself has in the cast Manisha Koirala, Goundamani, Sujatha, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vijayakumar and Vinu Chakravarthy.
On its initial release on August 15th in 2002 the film carried huge expectations but failed at the box office. The new version will hit the screens on December 12th this year on the Thalaivar’s 72nd birthday.
